ACB Gujarat nabs Sarpanch’s husband in bribe case; Talati and gram panchayat member also booked

Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has booked the husband of sarpanch, talati cum mantri and member of Rohisa gram panchayat in Mehmedabad taluka of Kheda district for demanding a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.
The complainant had given an application for assessment of the bore tank and room at Rohisha gram panchayat. The accused Babubhai Khodabhai Rathod- husband of sarpanch, Prashant Chimanlal Parmar-talati cum mantri and Baldevbhai Bijolbhai Rabari- member, had told him that the land assessment will be done first and bore assessment later. They had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,00,000 from the complainant for assessment. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe.
The accused Babubhai Khodabhai Rathod was found taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from the complainant. The accused Babubhai Khodabhai Rathod was nabbed and detained by ACB. DeshGujarat
