Valsad: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a Talati cum mantri of Ambheti gram panchayat in Kaprada taluka of Valsad in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs 10,000.

According to ACB, the complainant’s friend owns agricultural land at Ambheti village. The complainant’s friend had given an application to get the certificate for making the agricultural land non-agricultural (NA) at Ambheti gram panchayat. The accused Talati Snehalbhai Jesingbhai Patel allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant for issuing the certificate.

The accused had allegedly accepted Rs 20,000 from the complainant and asked him to pay the remaining Rs 10,000 on 6th April 2022. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay Rs 10,000. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB on 6th April. ACB detained the accused. DeshGujarat
