Covid19: Daily fresh cases count rises in Gujarat due to spurt in GNLU Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: Gujarat reported 20 new cases of covid-19 infection in 24 hours ending at 5 pm on Friday. The count rose mainly due to spurt in covid cases at the Gujarat National Law University campus in Gandhinagar. Out of 20 fresh cases recorded in a day in Gujarat, 15 were from Gandhinagar today. It was learnt that the law university campus has the presence of 35 active covid cases. The health department teams rushed to the campus and declared the hostels as containment zones. The university has presence of 700 students, out of which 35 are covid infected. At least one student has been taken to the hospital for covid treatment.
