Khambhat Ram Navami procession attack case: Nine accused sent on four days remand

Khambhat: Nine accused including a Maulvi (Muslim cleric) arrested in connection with an attack on Sri Rama Navami procession on Sunday, in the sensitive Shakkarpura area of Khambhat are sent on four days remand(Police custody) by a local court.
The accused are identified as Wassem Rashid Malek, Sarfaraz Hussain Farook Malek, Ashiqsa Amartasha Diwan, Ashiq Majid Malek, Shahrukhkhan Sarafatkhan Pathan, Nihalrajak Malek, Razak Ayyub Malek, Faroon Mujad Malek and Waris Safudin Malek.
Although, normalcy has returned in Khambhat town, tension still prevails. Kanaiyalal Rana, a 62-year old participant of Ram Navami procession was brutally killed during the attack on the procession when it was passing near the mosque in Muslims populated Shakkarpura area last Sunday. DeshGujarat
