Mauritius PM Pravin Jugnauth given warm reception on arrival at Rajkot in Gujarat

Rajkot: A grand road show has been organised today in Rajkot at 4.15 pm to welcome the Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth. The road show has been organised from the airport to the racecourse ring road. Mauritius Prime Minister will be officially welcomed by the officials of the district administration. Hoardings welcoming Jugnauth are put across Rajkot. Jugnauth will also be greeted by the cultural programmes performed on the 25 stages. The airport road in Rajkot will be closed for traffic from 1pm to 6pm due to security reasons.
Rajkot district collector Arun Mahesh Babu has stated that the district administration and the other government bodies have organised 2 km road show to welcome the Prime Minister of Mauritius from the airport to Rajiv Gandhi Circle. 25 stages have been erected on the path to welcome the Prime Minister of Mauritius. 10 stages will involve cultural programmes, while rest of the 15 stages will showcase cultural performances of dance and folk art by different organisations.
Throughout the roadshow, college and school students of Rajkot from various educational institutions will perform on a variety of themes like Ganesha Vandana, Vande Mataram, traditional Raas-Garba, Kathak and Siddi dance. The institutions participating include Saurashtra University, Atmiya College, Marwadi College, R.K. University, Genius school, Indian Medical Association, P.D.U. Medical College, Arjunlal Hirani College, Bhagini Seva Foundation and Dholakiya School.
Reception dinner has been organised at Regency Lagoon in Rajkot. The Prime Minister of Mauritius will leave for Jamnagar tomorrow. 140 delegates from over 40 countries are going to arrive to attend the events in Rajkot and Jamnagar.
