Rahul Gandhi dumps cotton garland on steps; Video goes viral

Dahod: A video of congress leader Rahul Gandhi putting down a suttar (cotton) threads made garland on a railing while walking down stairs outside Pandit Dindayal auditorium in Dahod has gone viral on social media.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had a meeting with the congress leaders and karyakars at Pandit Dindayal auditorium in Swami Vivekanand Sankul in Dahod. In the viral video, he gently puts down a suttar thread on the railing after taking it in his right hand from left hand. He then enters into his car after greeting with a namaskar. BJP pradesh spokesperson and former mayor Bharat Dangar stated about the video that those who adopted Gandhi’s surname for power did not wear Bapu’s favourite Suttar string and also insulted him by putting it down on the stairs. Rahul Gandhi had met congress leaders at Vadodara airport where city congress president Rutvij Joshi had offered him a suttar string to wear. However, he didn’t wear it despite two attempts from city congress president Rutvij Joshi.
