Bhuj: The traffic woes faced by people of Mandvi seem to be coming to an end with the beginning of work on building the Mandvi bypass at an expense of Rs 64 crores.
The three-kilometer long bypass is the outcome of incessant efforts made by Kutch-Morbi MP, Vinod Chavda, and Mundra-Mandvi MLA Virendrasinh Jadeja. The office of the MLA has informed that the work on clearing the bushes and shrubs to widen the road with the help of JCBs and Hitachis has commenced near KD Show Room. The other work will commence along with the ground breaking ceremony and the project will be completed at the earliest.
The construction of the Mandvi bypass will prove to be a blessing for the tourism industry of Mandvi along with other businesses such as hotels, restaurants, garages, petrol pump, tyre puncture etc. DeshGujarat
