CM Bhupendra Patel brings solution to irrigation water demand in Kheralu – Satlasna

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel assured to supply 200 cusecs water to Kheralu and Satlasna talukas in Mehsana during the four months of monsoon season.
The farmers of Kheralu and Satlasna have started a movement for last 2 and a half months for the problem of irrigation water. The movement included ratri-sabha in the villages. The farmers went to Gandhinagar on Monday. They had a meeting with CM Patel and minister of water supply of the state and appealed for resolving the issue of irrigation water. CM Patel and water supply minister assured to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
The work of installing pipeline based on Dharoi dam at a cost of Rs 131 crore will be completed soon for supplying water for the farmers, they assured. It is recommended to soon complete the pipeline work from Dharoi to Varsang lake. The electricity supply to Rasulpur pumping station will be increased. The discussion about getting the water from Narmada and supplying it to Chimnabai lake will be done today in the state cabinet meeting. DeshGujarat
