International Yog Day to be marked at historic and tourism places across Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The main state-level program for the Yog Divas on 21st June 2022 will be held at Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad in the presence of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel.

PM Modi will virtually address the programs of Yog Divas, which will be broadcast at all the sites of the celebration of Yog Diwas. It will be celebrated at 75 iconic places across the state under Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav- 75 years of independence.

The collective Yog Sadhna programs will be held at 17 religious sites including Modhera Surya Mandir and Ambaji mandir, 18 historical site including Dada Harini Vav and Dandi memorial, 22 tourism sites including Rann of Kutch, 17 nature sites including Managadh hill and Saputara, and Science City. Yog Diwas will be celebrated at Jawahar Ground in Bhavnagar, Ranmal Talav in Jamnagar, Racecourse ground in Rajkot, Lakshmi-Vilas Palace in Vadodara, and Vanita Ashram at Surat.

Yog Divas will be marked at district level, taluka level, municipality level, and at schools, ITIs, health centers, police stations, and jails. Around 99000 people will join the celebration at the district level considering 3000 people per district. The district level celebration will take place at iconic places such as Shantigram Adani in Amdavad, Kutch white rann, Dharoi Dam Mehsana, and the Statue of Unity at Narmada.

Around 125500 people will join the taluka level celebration considering 500 people per taluka. Around 455650 people will join the village level celebration, considering 25 people per village. Taluka level celebration will take place at Shivrajpur beach and Little Rann of Kutch.

Total 84,65,000 students and 3,23,000 teachers of 45,000 primary schools of the state will join the celebration. Total 28,43,000 students and 89000 teachers of 12,500 secondary and higher secondary schools will also join. Total 16,14,000 students and 60,000 professors of 2600 universities and colleges will join the celebration. Total 28700 students of 287 ITIs, considering 100 students per ITI will join. Total 12,70,400 people will perform Yog at 1477 primary health centers and 6500 sub-centers of the state. DeshGujarat
