Gandhinagar: The conversion of a plot of agricultural land into non-agricultural (NA) will no longer be subject to the condition of the construction on the concerned plot happening within the time frame of three years.

The revenue department has taken the revolutionary step of abolishing the system of granting conditional approval for the conversion of agricultural land to NA.

This revolutionary step will free the land owner from bureaucrats scaring the farmer in the name of violation of the ‘time-frame’ condition for construction.

District collectorates have been instructed by the revenue department to implement the orders for granting unconditional approval to change the status of a plot of land with immediate effect. With this scores of old cases pertaining to violation of this removed section will also cease to exist. DeshGujarat.
