In pictures: Hiraba visits Jagannath Mandir on her 100th birthday, hosts community meal

Sabarmati: PM Modi’s mother Hiraba, on her 100th birthday, performed aarti at Jagannath Mandir in Ahmedabad with family.
Hiraba performed puja and aarti of Bhagvan Jagannath in Jagannath Mandir. A bhandara (community meal) was organized for sadhus and Hiraba’s family members at the mandir. The food items such as Dal, rice, laddu and puri were served in Bhandara.
PM Modi met Hiraba in the morning at her residence at 6.30 am. He spent over half an hour with her. PM Modi gave birthday wishes and offered a laddu. He washed the feet of Hiraba with his hand. Moreover, he gifted a shawl to her on her birthday. PM Modi also offered a rose garland to her. PM Modi then went to Mahakali Mandir in Pavagadh.
