PM Narendrabhai Modi meets mother Hiraba in Gandhinagar on her 100th birthday

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi this morning reached younger brother Pankajbhai Modi’s residence in Raysan area of State capital Gandhinagar in Gujarat to meet his mother Hiraba who turns 100 today. Son Narendrabhai washed mother’s feet with water and sought her blessings. Son Narendrabhai also offered a shawl, rose garland and Laddu sweet to mother Hiraba. Son Narendrabhai conversed with his mother, by sitting on the floor of the house.

Various programmes are organized at Modi’s native town Vadnagar and at Jagannath Mandir in Ahmedabad to mark the 100th birthday of Hiraba.

The Prime Minister like always was with minimum security when he reached mother’s residence. The Prime Minister had a bag in his hand when he stepped down from the car and waved hand at the media, before stepping into younger brother’s residence.

On his two days visit to Gujarat, the Prime Minister arrived at Gandhinagar last evening by air. Like always, he took a night halt at Raj Bhavan, the residence of the Governor of Gujarat. The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Pavagadh by helicopter this morning to place the first religious flag on the redeveloped Mahakali temple atop the hill.

He will later fly to Vadodara to address Gujarat Gaurav Sammelan at Leprosy ground there. He will dedicate and perform ground breaking of over Rs. 21,000 development projects during the function and address around 5 lakh strong gatherings. DeshGujarat
