A farmer triggers farm-pond revaluation in water scarce region of Banaskantha

Palanpur: A farmer, who post-graduated in international trade, has formed 100 farm ponds in the water scarce regions of Disa and surrounding area by convincing the farmers.
Pravin Gordhanji Mali, studied postgraduate in international trade from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He visited the Disa and surrounding villages to inform and convince the farmers to make farm ponds (Khet talavdi). Total 100 farmers from various villages made farm ponds in 15 hectares last year. It enabled irrigation for 8 months in 200 hectares of land. Mali aims to form more than 100 farm ponds this year in Banaskantha. The work of 30 farm ponds is ongoing at present. DeshGujarat
