Gujarat CM Reviews Lumpy Skin Diseases Situation

Gandhinagar: CM Bhupendra Patel reviewed the current situation of lumpy skin diseases in cattle in the state in a high-level meeting in Gandhinagar.
As per instructions from CM Patel, cattle within a 5-km radius of affected villages will be vaccinated at no cost. About the same, he instructed immediate action in campaign mode.
A total of 1126 villages in 15 districts reported cases of lumpy skin disease in the cattle. A total of 41,243 cattle are infected with the disease. As of now, 3.10 lakh healthy cattle have been vaccinated. There are 152 veterinary officers and 438 livestock inspectors deployed in the affected villages to conduct surveys, administer vaccinations, and treat livestock. Additional 269 veterinary doctors of mobile cattle clinic and Karuna ambulance are also deployed.
