Rainfall to rise from 7th August in Gujarat: IMD

Ahmedabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rains in the state for the coming five days.
“There will be scattered rainfall on 3rd and 4th August, then it will increase in Gujarat on 5th August, and the state should witness good amounts of rain on 7th and 8th August,” said Manorama Mohanty, Director at Gujarat headquarters of the central government’s weather department – IMD.
“Ahmedabad will witness spells of light to moderate rain in next 2-3 days,” Mohanty said.
Gujarat, as of 3rd August has received about 540 mm of rain which is still 36 % excess to average.
