Ahmedabad: The festival of Raksha Bandhan is being celebrated in the city with much fanfare. On the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan, the sister ties rakhi to her brother and the Brahmins also change their Janoi, which has a special significance.
Muslim women in the Jamalpur area of Ahmedabad tied rakhi to a cutout of PM Narendra Modi and prayed for his long life.

Muslim women celebrated Pawan Parva of Rakshabandhan by tying rakhi to Mahant Dilipadas Maharaj at Jagannath Temple in the Jamalpur area of Ahmedabad.
