Ahmedabad: Big relief comes for the transport industry, and consumers as major gas distributor firms have announced rate cuts for compound natural gas (CNG) and domestic piped natural gas (PNG).

On Thursday, Adani Total Gas Ltd reduced CNG prices by Rs. 4.7 per kg and PNG prices by Rs. 3.20 per standard cubic meter (SCM).

IRM energy also cut the price by Rs. 6 per SCM effective from Wednesday.

With these reductions price of natural gas in Ahmedabad on 17th August, came down to Rs. 83.90 from Rs. 87.38 per kg.

Torrent Gas also announced on Wednesday a price cut of Rs 5 per standard cubic meter (SCM) for compound natural gas (CNG) and domestic piped natural gas (PNG) in all the areas of the company’s presence.
