Jambusar in Bharuch district of Gujarat to get first Bulk Drug Park of India

Bharuch: The first bulk drug park in the country will be established at Jambusar in Bharuch district of Central Gujarat. The central government will provide an aid of Rs 10,00 crore to establish the bulk drug park in Jambusar. The central government has granted in principle approval for bulk drug parks in Andhra Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh along with Gujarat.
Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) had submitted a detailed project report to the scheme steering committee of the central government after making a proposal of establishing a bulk drug park after identifying land. The Scheme’s Steering Committee gave in principle approval for establishing a bulk drug park with common infrastructure facilities in Jambusar after scrutiny of the proposal.
