Atal Foot Over Bridge ticket revenue ₹ 12 lakh in weekend; 41311 visitors

Sabarmati: A total of 41,311 people visited the Atal Foot Over Bridge on the weekend of 03-04th September and paid over ₹12.09 lakh in total to enjoy a 30 min walk on the latest attraction of the city. The bridge is built at the cost of about ₹74 crores.
Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) said in a statement that 11622 tickets were sold on Saturday. Out of total visitors, 9962 were in the age group of 12 to 59 years, 300 were above 60 years of age, and 1360 were of age between 3 to 12 years.
On Sunday, the total number of tickets sold was 29,689. Out of total visitors, 24,039 people were in the age group of 12 to 59 years, 362 were above 60 years of age, and 5,288 were of age between 3 to 12 years.
Out of these 41,311 people visiting on the weekend, 8,111 people visited both Flower Park and Atal Foot Over Bridge.
After looking at the heavy rush of thousands of people on the foot river bridge SRFDCL announced the ticket charges for visiting the Atal bridge for 30 mins.
The ticket charge for those above 60-year age and those in the 3 to 12 years age group is ₹ 15. For those in the 12 to 59 years, age group the single ticket is available for ₹ 30. Those below 3-year age shall get free entry. For those differently able (handicapped), the entry shall be free of cost. One ticket is valid only for 30 minutes, between 9 am and 9 pm.
