Kheda: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided the Krishna Hing office of New Bharat Hing Suppliers, located in Nadiad.

The NIA undertook the search operation suspecting certain transactions possibly linked with terror funding, it is learnt. Asma Khan Pathan, the owner of New Bharat Hing, is a member of the Delhi Waqf Board. She is a former municipality councilor.

The NIA team raided the Krishna Hing office in Nadiad in the morning on Monday. The NIA also raided the home of Asma Khan Pathan in Amdavadi Bajar Shakkarkui in Nadiad. The search operation was around 7.5 hours long. The raid was conducted with the help of Nadiad’s local crime branch and SOG. The search operation ran till 3.30 pm.
