Gujarat Govt to give job appointment letters to over 1.25 lakh youth on 26th Sept

Gandhinagar: The state government will distribute employment appointment letters/ apprenticeship agreements to over 1.25 lakh youths on Monday in a function to be held across 33 districts and 7 municipal corporation areas simultaneously. Over 1.25 lakh candidates have got employment through job fairs and efforts of employment offices in the state in the current year.
The state level appointment letter distribution program will be held in the leadership of CM Patel at Vigyan Bhawan, Science City, Ahmedabad. Total 40 programs will be held under the same at 33 districts and 7 municipal corporations. CM Patel will distribute appointment letters/ apprenticeship agreements to candidates in a symbolic manner. Similarly, they will be distributed at the hands of the leaders present at the programs to be held in 33 districts and 7 municipal corporations.
Gujarat is in the first position for providing employment in the country as per ‘Employment Exchange Statistics 2021’ published by the director general of employment under the Ministry of Labour & Employment in August 2022. The unemployment rate is counted in the Periodic Labour Force Survey by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MOSPI), Government of India. The latest annual report of the survey was published in July 2021. The duration of the survey was July 2019 to June 2020. As per the survey of all ages, the unemployment rate of Gujarat was only 2 percent, which is less than all the states of the country. The unemployment rate of the country was 4.8 percent.
The training for physical and written test was given to 7454 candidates through 271 state wide training classes within the last 5 years under residential training scheme prior to recruitment of armed/ semi armed forces. Total 3834 candidates were selected through military job fairs in the last 5 years.
The employment offices have provided employment to 1577068 youths within the last 5 years in the state. The employment office arranged 930 job fairs in 2022-23.
There are 2,69,381 candidates and 40,919 employers registered on Anubandham web portal. Over 2 lakh candidates got jobs through the portal. Over 1 lakh youths have availed benefit of Rojgar Setu project executed in January 2021.
