Savli Police books 41 for Communal Clashes; 36 arrested

Vadodara: Savli police filed crime of rioting against 41 persons and nabbed 36 after communal clashes near Damaji na Dera in Savli over installing religious flags by Muslim youths.
The people gathered after Muslim youths installed their flags with bamboo on an electric pole with Hindu flags already installed on it near Damaji Na Dera. It caused clashes between the two groups. The violence occurred along with stone pelting and violent weapons. The mob broke the glass of a parked car and damaged a shed of iron and wood in a shop. The police staff including the SP reached there. They undertook combing and nabbed 36 from both groups.
Maheshbhai Mohanbhai Mali (lives in Savli) filed a complaint against 25 accused. On the other hand, Ilyas Noor Mahammad Shaikh (lives in Savli) filed a complaint against 21 accused. Savli police filed cross complaints and nabbed 36 accused.
