Gandhinagar: Harshad Ribadiya, Congress MLA from Visavdar seat in Junagadh district of Saurashtra region in Gujarat has handed over his resignation to State Assembly Speaker Dr. Nimaben Acharya this evening. Visavdar is a seat from where Leuva Patel community MLAs are elected. Late former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel had also chosen Visavdar to go to the State assembly. Gujarat is going to witness the regular election of the State assembly in December this year. More resignations of Congress MLAs are expected ahead of the election. In the Presidential election this year, seven Congress MLAs had secretly voted for BJP led NDA candidate instead of Congress candidate. Ribadiya is believed to be one of them. DeshGujarat
