October 05, 2022
Gandhinagar: State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, directed ministers and secretaries of various departments to kick off all the approved projects by October 15.
The state is going to witness an assembly election possibly in the end of the month of November or first half of December. The Election Commission of India is likely to announce the schedule of Gujarat polls through the press conference in later half of October. The Model Code of Conduct will be effective in the State with that press conference. The CM has therefore instructed that all departments must be seen taking up the pending projects.
As per the official sources, a hefty number of projects will kick off in 10 days as the government will not be able to inaugurate these projects after the elections are announced, and the model code of conduct will prevail.
In the last ten days of Navaratri, Gujarat witnessed the foundation stone laying and dedication of projects worth thousands of crores of rupees.
