Rajasthan Youth on Dandi Yatra in Gujarat demanding jobs from Gehlot Govt

Ahmedabad: A group of unemployed youth from Rajasthan, demanding jobs are carrying their own Dandi Yatra in Gujarat, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s salt march.

This Dandi Yatra was commended on October 2 from Planpur and has reached Ahemdabad. Upen Yadav, State President of the Rajasthan Unemployment United Federation is leading the youth in protest against the Gehlot government’s failure to provide them with jobs.

Yadav told the media that they are doing this yatra in Gujarat instead of Rajasthan, as they were jailed and lathi-charged when they raised their voices in Rajasthan. In Gujarat, assembly elections are going on, and politicians are afraid of losing votes.

“We have already walked 130 km because we are believers of Gandhi, even women are on roads protesting. Not hearing us will be an insult to Mahatma Gandhi,” added Yadav.

According to Yadav, the State Government of Rajasthan, led by Ashok Gehlot, had not fulfilled most of its promises from the first budget. However, the Congress party has promised 10 lakh jobs in Gujarat if they come to power in 2022.

This yatra is going on simultaneously with Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, and about that, Upen Yadav said that if the congress government in Rajasthan does not fulfil their demands they will obstruct Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan.
