13th edition of Garib Kalyan Melas launched in Gujarat

Gandhniagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today launched 13th edition of Garib Kalyan Mela across the State. As many as 37 Garib Kalyan Mela are to be held across 33 districts of Gujarat during 14-15 October. The Chief Minister launched this season of Garib Kalyan Melas from tribal area Godhra in Central Gujarat.
The Chief Minister in his speech said that 1576 Garib Kalyan Melas are held so far in 12 editions, benefiting 1.65 crore poor people worth Rs. 34,596 crore.
At Garib Kalyan Mela in Panchmahal today, as many as 35,583 beneficiaries were delivered government benefits worth Rs. 281 crore. The Chief Minister also launched ‘Aage Kuch’ coffee table book that covers 22 schemes under Panchayat department. DeshGujarat
