‘Kejriwal’s anti-Hindu face’: BJP tweets video of AAP flouting own rules against firecrackers in Delhi

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi yesterday announced a ban on firecrackers on the occasion of the Hindu Festival Diwali. Now a row has erupted over this decision as BJP shared the video of AAP workers bursting crackers as they become minister.

Harish Khuranna, BJP Spokesperson for Delhi shared a clip on Twitter and wrote, “Pollution only spreads when we Hindus burst firecrackers, but no pollution is caused when your workers burn crackers as they become a minister. It seems the firecrackers the AAP workers are using are of some special kind and they do not cause pollution.”

“All the laws are for Hindu Festival,” he added.

BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala tweeted, “Ban on Hindus celebrating Diwali with crackers because of pollution! But if AAP’s Raj Kumar Anand’s chamchas burst crackers to celebrate his ministerial berth- it is secular pollution? Btw stubble burning in AAP-run Punjab increased three-fold in 9 days even as AQI in Delhi plummets”

He also said ” Btw last year Kejriwal ji said he had a solution for stubble burning – bio decomposer! Now that they have a govt in Punjab- why is stubble burning still happening ?? Has it been a flop? ₹23 cr was spent on advertising Kejriwal for a ₹68 lakh decomposer!! What is the outcome?”

“Each year Hindus & crackers are blamed! Yet the fact is that IITs have said it: main causes of pollution in Delhi are 1) Biomass burning 2) Vehicular pollution 3) Dust from construction etc 4) Industrial pollution 5) Stubble burning from Punjab What has AAP govt done?”, Poonawala said.

BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga said, “If Hindus burn crackers on Diwali, there will be pollution, Arvind Kejriwal will send them to jail, but if the firecrackers are burnt in the joy of becoming a minister of Kejriwal, oxygen will come out of it. Kejriwal, your anti-Hindu face has come to the fore again today, your problem is with Diwali, not with firecrackers.”
