Gujarat Congress to hold five yatras to boost party’s election campaign

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Congress is planning to start five yatras across the State for its campaign, said State party incharge Raghu Sharma. He said that various leaders of the party from across the states and the national capital will arrive to participate in these yatras. He said the yatras are likely to kick start from October 31st. It’s worth noting that the ruling BJP had recently organized five yatras under the titles of ‘Gujarat Gaurav Yatra’ across the State.
Sharma said the party is presently involved in the process of selection of candidates. He said the party’s frontal organizations are presently doing various programmes at present. He said the party is working on its manifesto for the last three to four months and over 1500 meetings have been held in this regard including those in which common people were participants. Sharma said the final draft proposal is ready and the manifesto will be launched soon.
Sharma in a reply to a question said that party leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will do campaign in Gujarat. He said Rahul ji will visit Gujarat for campaign after taking break from his ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Likely route of five yatras
-Nakhatrana to Rajkot (Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Dwarka, Junagadh)
-Somnath to Ahmedabad : (Gir Somahtj, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad city, Ahmedabad rural)
-Danta to Gandhinagar: (Banaskantha, Patan, Mahesana, Sabarkatnaha, Arvalli, Gandhinagar)
-Balashinor to Patan: (Vadodara city, rural, Anand, Kheda, Naidad, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur)
-Jambusar to Umargam: ( Bharuch, Surat city, Surat rural, Narmada, Tapi, Navsari ,Dang and Valsad)
Five yatras will roam through the State for ten days, covering 158 assembly eats out of total 182
Ashok Gehlot is likely to address five public meetings while Priyanka Gandhi is likely to address one public meeting in Central Gujarat
