Gujarat Govt to upgrade Sanskrit schools

Gandhinagar: The education department of the Gujarat government is planning to revamp 46 Sanskrit schools in the state along with setting up new Sanskrit schools in the state.
As per the reports, the schools which used to have classes 9 to 12 will now be having classes from 6th to 12th standard. Students from and outside of the state will be eligible for admission after passing class 5.
Sources tell that As part of the Sanskrit Shakti Gurukul scheme, the government will also establish 10 new Sanskrit gurukuls in the state. With 150-300 students in each, there will be around 3,000 seats available.
