The party had declared the name of Jignaben Pandya earlier. However Ms. Pandya today visited the State BJP headquarters Shri Kamalam with former Wadhvan MLA Varshaben Doshi and conveyed to the party that someone else should be given chance instead of her as party’s candidate on Wadhvan seat.
This development took place ahead of party leader and Union Home Minister Amitbhai Shah’s visit to the State party headquarters. Jignaben Pandya has in her letter stated that she has been BJP worker for the last 20 years and she thanks PM Modi and BJP for considering her suitable as a candidate for Wadhvan seat. She went on to say that she is going to work for the party lifelong. She then requested in her letter that party chief JP Nadda should give someone else the chance to contest instead of her on Wadhvan seat.
