More Congress leaders face suspension in Gujarat for breach of party discipline

Gandhinagar: The main opposition party Congress has suspended Seva Dal’s Gujarat unit chief and party spokesperson Pragati Nandaniya (Ahir) for six years, said a party leader adding that Disciplinary committee chief Balubhai Patel conducted a probe and found a breach of party discipline.
Pragati had demanded a ticket from the party to contest from the Keshod assembly constituency, however, the party had denied her ticket. Pragati Ahir reacting to the news of her suspension today said that she had not got any chance to make representation for herself if any complaint was made against her in the party and that she was not notified about the suspension move by the party yet. She said she had spoken to top party leaders in Gujarat including State party chief Jagdish Thakor and they were also unaware that such action has been taken against her by the party’s disciplinary committee led by Balubhai Patel. Pragati had also recently walked in Bharat Jodo Yatra with Rahul Gandhi holding her hand throughout.
According to a party leader, former Junagadh Mayor Lakhabhai Parmar’s son Ravanbhai Parmar, Junagadh Municipal Corporation’s former Congress councilor Rajubhai Solanki. Junagadh city Congress president Amit Thummar (Patel) is also suspended. DeshGujarat
