Two kids succumb to leopard attacks in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Two leopards killed two kids on Sunday evening in Rajkot and Chota Udepur.
In Bodeli of Chota Udepur, a leopard snatched two years old Sahil Baria from his elder brother’s hand and ran into bushes nearby. The boy was found dead later with severe neck injuries. The forest department has installed five cages to catch the big cat.
Similarly, in Upleta of Rajkot, Lakshmi Khardi, a three-year-old daughter of a migrant farm labourer from Madhya Pradesh, became a victim of a leopard attack. Locals reported that Laskhmi was playing on the farm when a leopard appeared and grabbed her neck, after hearing her screams the villager chased the leopard for some distance only to find the bloodied body of Lakshmi.
