Govt nod to IFFCO for commercial use of Nano-DAP
February 11, 2023
Gandhinagar: The union agriculture ministry has approved the commercial release of IFFCO’s nano-diammonium phosphate (nano-DAP), for the upcoming Kharif sowing season. According to the sources, the notification for the same will be out very soon.
Developed by Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) the nano-DAP is expected to reduce subsidies and the import dependence on the fertiliser variety. One bottle of Nano DAP would cost around Rs 600, the sources said.
Last year, PM Modi inaugurated IFFCO’s Kalol plant which can produce 150 half-litre bottles in a minute. It is expected that from 31 July 2023, production of Nano DAP would start in this plant. DeshGujarat
