First Automatic Fitness Testing Centre to open in Kamrej

Surat: MoS Transport Harsh Sanghavi will on Saturday inaugurate India’s first automatic vehicle fitness testing station at Kamrej. The station is owned by BND company which has set a target to set up 20 such stations in Gujarat and 100 nationwide in accordance with the fitness management system and scrap policy declared by the Central government.
The Gujarat government has given initial permission for 204 fitness stations and 3 scrap yards in the State. BND Energy Pvt Ltd has received permission for four such stations. According to Bhavesh Desai, MD of BND Energy Company, the first station to be inaugurated is located in Valthan village of Kamrej in Surat. The company has plans to start stations at Bharuch, Amreli, Mahesana, and other places by the end of the month of March this year. DeshGujarat
