Rajkot: Lok Sabha member, representing Rajkot constituency, Mohanbhai Kundariya today while speaking to media persons today said that the government is positive about giving Vande Bharat Express train connecting Rajkot and Ahmedabad.

He said there was a long pending issue of a double-track railway line on the Surendranagar – Rajkot route. The double-track project has been approved and is nearly completed. Even electrification on this route is going to be completed in May-June this year. At present, the single track has a 155 percent burden and therefore new trains are not introduced on this route to Saurashtra.

Kundariya said, once that is done, the government is positive about introducing Vande Bharat express trains on this route. Kundariya said a representation was made seeking Vande Bharat train connecting Ahmedabad and Rajkot and the Government has conveyed it is ready to give it. DeshGujarat
