ACB Gujarat book two in bribe case; Middleman nabbed, Police constable on run

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police has booked a Police Constable of Palsana police station in a bribe case. The accused police constable Bhagirathsinh Chudasama is on run and wanted in this case.

According to the details shared by ACB, the accused had met the complainant and offered to start a liquor business. The accused constable had asked the complainant if he would need to pay Rs. 1,000 per box of liquor bottles as a bribe. The accused constable had given 12 boxes of foreign liquor and demanded Rs. 90,000 as a bribe for a smooth transition of boxes. The complainant had deposited Rs. 30,000 to the accused’s account through mobile pay. For the rest of the payment of Rs. 60,000, the complainant was called to Palsana.

The complainant went to Palsana in his friend Yuvrajsinh’s Creta car number GJ14-9200. The accused took control of the car and asked the complainant to pay Rs. 60,000 bribe money to get the car back. As the complainant contacted ACB, a trap was arranged and on the order of constable Bhagirathsinh Chudasama, the other accused Hardik Tiwari had accepted Rs. 60,000. While the accused middleman is nabbed, the main accused, police constable Bhagirathsinh is on run and wanted in this case. DeshGujarat
