Gandhinagar: Gujarat government-run Abhayam Women Helpline ‘181’ has completed 8 years.

The 181- Abhayam Women Helpline, has helped 2.37 lakh women so far by reaching through its rescue vans with counselors. The issues pertaining to women were resolved on the spot in 1.49 lakh cases. In 71,872 serious cases related to women, the rescue vans rescued the victims and sent them to other government entiries for long-term counseling.

The 181 Abhayam helpline is a 24 *7 toll-free helpline that is directly accessible through any mobile or landline. Any woman can access it for the purpose of information, counseling, guidance, and also for the rescue in various highly threatening situations including domestic violence. DeshGujarat
