Gandhinagar: During the ongoing budget session of the state assembly today, the Gujarat government gave replies to the questions asked by the MLAs.
– No proposal has been made before the Centre for naming Ahmedabad as Karnavati in the last two years.
– Gujarat govt paid over Rs. 22 crore subsidy to filmmakers for 74 Gujarati films in two years period. 128 applications seeking subsidy are pending.
– The project of a four-lane conversion of the road from Gabbar circle to Gabbar taleti in pilgrim town Ambaji is at the stage of mapping at present.
– 17 TP schemes are pending, 21 cleared in the last one year in AMC areas
– Over Rs. 200 crore spent on 3 pumping stations in last 2 years for the supply of water through Narmada Yojana’s Kutch branch canal.
– The information department of the Gujarat govt spent nearly Rs. 10 crores in 2 years on advertisements given to media regarding Govt programs. Spending on ads in Electronic media jumped in 2022 and surpassed traditional Print media which witnessed a cut.
– AMC has not taken over Chandola pond from the State govt
– Ahmedabad – Rajkot highway 6-lane conversion project’s new approved deadline is 30th June 2023. Delay in completion due to issues such as forest clearance, land acquisition, power poles, gas pipeline, cases in the High Court and Covid-19 pandemic.
