Gujarat CM launches State BJP’s CPR training drive

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday launched the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training drive across the State from an Asarwa-based Civil hospital. Party’s doctor’s cell has come up with this initiative in order to train the cadres for CPR so that they can help needy persons in the future. The initiative was conceived in the wake of a recent spurt of incidents in which youths or middle age persons would suffer from sudden heart attack and die. Guided by party legislator and doctor Payal Kukrani, the Chief Minister himself performed CPR over a rubber statue. Party chief CR Patil launched the same initiative from Surat-based hospital. According to the party, more than 1200 doctors from 38 medical colleges across Gujarat joined this initiative.
