Surat: Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a crime and loot incident in the migrants-populated Sachin area of Surat. Another suspect is still at large. The incident occurred when a man was walking down the street and talking on his mobile phone. Three people on a bike attempted to snatch the phone, but the victim resisted and refused to give it up. The suspects then killed him with a sharp weapon before fleeing the scene. Police were able to apprehend two of the suspects, but the third individual remains on the run.

According to authorities, the suspects committed the crime in order to obtain money to purchase alcohol. They had already committed two similar crimes on the same night, in the GIDC police station area. DeshGujarat
