Further Rs. 25.50 lakh cash recovered in Yuvrajsinh Jadeja extortion case

Bhavnagar: In another breakthrough in Yuvrajsinh Jadeja extortion case, the investigation team of Police have recovered Rs. 25.50 lakh cash from the residence of Yuvrajsinh’s brother-in-law Shivubha’s friend’s house.

Yuvrajsinh’s brother-in-law Shivubha (Shivbhadrasinh Gohil) surrendered before the Police, following which his questioning took place at Nilambag police station. Shivubha admitted that he had given the cash involved in the extortion case to his friend Sanjay Khimji Jethva. Police called witnesses and recovered Rs. 25.50 lakh cash from a bag that Sanjay told he was given by Shivubhai a few days ago. The bag had also a hard disk which according to Sanjay Yethva, contained CCTV footage of the Victoria Prime-based office of Shivubha. Police have sent the hard disk to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for check.

Earlier Rs. 38 lakh cash was recovered from the house of a friend of another aide of Yuvrajsinh.

AAP leader Yuvrajsinh is accused of collecting Rs. 1 crore sum through his aides from two persons for not sharing their names with the media in the dummy exam candidate scam. Another Rs. 10 lakh cash sum was recovered from two more Yuvrajsinh aides – Ghanshyam Ladhva and Bipin Trivedi.

Meanwhile, Bhavnagar Police have nabbed four more accused in the dummy exam case namely Chandradip Chauhan, Mahavirsinh Sarvaiya, Kirti Panot and Sanjay Solanki. DeshGujarat
