Vapi Taluka Vice President of BJP shot dead

Valsad: The Vapi Taluka Vice President of the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Shailesh Patel, was shot dead this morning while he was traveling by car.
The incident occurred at 7 am today when unknown individuals came on a bike and fired three shots at Patel. Patel was sitting in his car waiting for his wife to come outside the temple. After shooting Patel from point blank, the shooter fled the scene. Patel was taken to Hariya Hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctor. It was determined that he had passed away on the spot due to his injuries.
According to the source, the motive behind the murder seems to be an old rivalry. However, the police are currently investigating the incident, and more information is expected to be revealed later.
Shailesh Patel was a resident of Kocharwa village of Vapi.
Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil today expressed grief over the incident and requested the State government to nab the culprits and take strong action against them.
