New Desert Safari tourism facility in Patan district

Patan: A desert safari tourism facility has been developed near Charanka solar plant, close to Eval village of Santalpur in Patan district. The first phase of this facility will soon be opened for visitors.

Rs. 2.69 crore facility is spread over one-hectare land thanks to the efforts of the first woman DFO Binduben Patel and then district collector Supritsingh Gulati.

A work order to develop this facility was given to PD Patel & Sons, a Bhavnagar-based firm.

The proposed safari tour will take place on a 37 km road.

The facility includes a watch tower, children’s playground, and a Gypsy car facility for sight scenes of local wildlife varieties such as Chinkara, fox, Rannchokdi, Nilgai, wild ass, etc. Nearby attractions such as Ishwariya Mahadev, Varudi Mata, Sargudi Bet, Sagat Mataji Mandir, Charanka Solar plant, Ind-Pak border area, sunset point, etc.

Rann Safari location is located 100 km away from the district headquarters in Patan. The road journey route shall be Patan – Santalpur – Garamdi – Jakhotra – Madhutra – Vaova – Eval.

Rann Safari project’s first phase involves one hectare lodging and boarding facility that includes a parking area, dining area, four single cottages, two double cottages and a 10-bed dormitory room with a meal facility. DeshGujarat
