Ahmedabad: The Metro court here has asked a private news channel’s editor to remain present in the court with a pen drive containing original footage of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejasvi Yadav’s interview in which Yadav stated that only Gujaratis can be thugs nowadays.

Naroda based Haresh Mehta has filed case against Tejasvi Yadav for insulting the people of Gujarat in Metro court. Three witnesses – Panakjkumar Patel from Gandhinagar, Rajendra Tank from Bhuj and Jatin Patel from Kadi gave their statements before the court. The next date of hearing is 12 June.

Tejasvi Yadav had on 22nd March 2023 made a controversial statement which was aired on a private Hindi news channel. Applicant in this case has stated that Tejavi’s statement for political motive insults 6.50 crore Gujaratis. DeshGujarat
