Ahmedabad: The ground-breaking ceremony was held for a new foot overbridge near Shahibaug Swaminarayan Temple on Ambedkar Road on Sunday. This pedestrian overbridge, equipped with escalators, will provide a link between Rajasthan Hindi Medium School and Swaminarayan Temple along Ambedkar Road. The bridge will have a width of 3.5 meters and a height of 5.5 meters, and stairs will be installed on both ends for convenient access.

The ceremony was attended by Ahmedabad Mayor Kirit Parmar, chief guests Sadhu Yagnyapriyadas and Sadhu Nikhileshdas from BAPS, along with other officials from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the ruling BJP party.

The construction of this bridge, along with another foot overbridge was approved by the AMC a few weeks ago. The other footbridge will be at the Camp Hanuman temple on the Cantonment gate. The estimated cost of these projects is 4.7 crores. DeshGujarat
