Atal Bridge, Lower Promenades of Sabarmati Riverfront to be closed on July 7

Ahmedabad: Atal footbridge and Lower Promenades on the West and East side of Sabarmati Riverfront will remain closed to the public on 7th July from 2:00 pm onwards owing to Urban20 (U20) Mayoral Summit happing in the city.
The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in a statement said, “The City of Ahmedabad is all set to host the Urban20 (U20) Mayoral Summit on 7-8 July, 2023. This Mayoral Summit is expected to bring together Several City Leaders and Mayors from across G20 nations. The summit will also be attended by delegates representing various cities, knowledge partners, Indian and international organizations, academic institutes and dignitaries from the Government of India and the State Government.”
“During the last event of the Sherpas of the cities of selected G20 cities, Sabarmati Riverfront was happy to host this esteemed delegation at Atal Bridge and a Gala Dinner at the Event Centre in the month of February 2023. This time again, on July 07, 2023, the Mayors and City Leaders from across G20 nations will visit “Atal Bridge” and Lower Promenade of Sabarmati Riverfront. Considering the same, “Atal Bridge” and “Lower Promenades on the West and East side” of Sabarmati Riverfront will be remained closed from 02:00 p.m. onwards on 07th July, 2023 which the public should take note of,” the statement further said.
