Maharashtra govt offered Rs 10,000 crore more incentive than Gujarat to attract a semiconductor plant: Minister

Nagpur: Maharashtra minister Uday Samant addressing a press conference said the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena- BJP government had offered Rs 39,000 crore incentives to Vedanta-Foxconn for setting up semiconductor manufacturing project, which was Rs 10,000 crore more than what was offered by Gujarat. Samant said the Maharashtra government has kept 2,000 acres land ready for any semiconductor manufacturer wishing to set up a plant in Maharashtra State.
