Capgemini to open new office in GIFT City of Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Capgemini, a French multinational company, has announced its plans to establish a new office with a capacity of 500 seats in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). Additionally, the company intends to enhance the infrastructure at its Talwade campus in Pune, which will undergo significant expansion once completed. This announcement coincided with Prime Minister Modi’s two-day visit to France on July 13-14.

Capgemini’s operations in India encompass nearly 180,000 team members spread across 13 cities, including Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Pune, Salem, and Tiruchirappalli.

According to a report, all of Capgemini’s campuses in India now operate on 100% renewable energy, leading to a reduction of over 70,000 tons of carbon emissions annually. This achievement is made possible through the utilization of on-premises solar plants generating 11.5MWp of power, as well as the deployment of a cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS) at the Noida and Mumbai campuses.
