Tathya Patel sent to 3 days of police custody in SG Highway accident case

Ahmedabad: The main accused in the SG Highway accident case, Tathya Patel, has been sent to 3 days of police custody by the Ahmedabad court, until July 24.
Tathya and his father, Pragnesh, were presented before the local court by the police this evening. Subsequently, his father, Pragnesh, was sent to judicial custody.

The horrifying accident, which resulted in the deaths of 10 people and left around ten others with severe injuries, has sparked public outrage on social media. The accident occurred on the ISKCON flyover in the SG highway, where Tathya, driving his Jaguar, ran over people who were trying to help at the scene of another accident. Among the deceased were a police constable and a home guard.
The Gujarat Government announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives and Rs 50,000 to those injured. DeshGujarat
