Five flights services from Ahmedabad declared discontinued in July 2023
July 29, 2023
Ahmedabad: Alliance Air has discontinued operations of flights from SVPI airport in Ahmedabad to Jaipur due to lack of availability of sufficient number of passengers on this route.
But this is not the only flight that has been discontinued in the month of July 2023 at SVPI airport. Low cost carrier Spice Jet had on 1st July discontinued the services of Ahmedabad to Siliguri flights due to the lack of a sufficient number of passengers on this route.
For the same reason SpiceJet had also discontinued Ahmedabad – Jaipur flights with effect from July 10. Akasa airlines then discontinued its services of flights from Ahmedabad to Pune and Kochi. In total five flights are discontinued from Ahmedabad airport in the ongoing month of July. The passengers who had booked their tickets in advance will get a refund over discontinued flights.
The reasons according to industry sources include difficulties in operations of small ATR series aircraft especially in the season of rains. Lack of passengers on Ahmedabad – Jaipur route is attributed to operations of daily three flights on the same route by competitor Indigo airlines. DeshGujarat
